Port Congestion
Lagos ports are busy, and goods are checked on arrival. A small document error can add days of storage and demurrage.
Nigeria is Africa's most populous country, and its demand for tech equipment keeps rising. Shipping there takes planning, though. You need a Form M before the goods leave, product certificates from the right agencies, and a customs assessment before arrival. One missed step can leave your cargo stuck at the port. We act as your importer of record Nigeria and manage the filings for you.

Form M is the import document the Central Bank of Nigeria requires for foreign exchange.
An authorized bank processes it on B'Odogwu, the customs trade platform that replaced NICIS II. Customs then issues a Pre-Arrival Assessment Report (PAAR). It confirms the HS code, value and duty before the cargo lands.
TradeWise as Your Local Importer of Record
First, you share your proforma invoice and product details. Then, we open the Form M through our bank and request the PAAR in our name. Once this is set up, every future shipment follows the same path. You stay listed as the exporter on every document. We handle all formalities for import into Nigeria.
