Separate territories
Greenland and the Faroe Islands follow their own customs rules.
Denmark is one of Europe's most connected countries and a growing home for large green data centres. Its businesses and public bodies need a steady supply of IT equipment. Importing to Denmark needs an EU EORI number, CE-marked products and a correct declaration with Danish customs (Toldstyrelsen). The exact destination also matters, because not every Danish territory follows EU rules. We act as your importer of record in Denmark and manage every filing for you.

Greenland and the Faroe Islands are part of the Kingdom of Denmark, but outside the EU.
Mainland Denmark follows EU customs and VAT rules, with import VAT of 25%. Greenland and the Faroe Islands are outside both the EU customs union and the EU VAT area. They have their own customs authorities, tariffs and taxes. Goods sent to them from Denmark are treated as exports, and goods coming back are treated as imports. Each destination needs its own paperwork.

What Danish Customs Checks Before Your Goods Are Released
Toldstyrelsen, the Danish Customs Agency, clears all imports into Denmark under the EU Union Customs Code. Duty depends on the commodity code of each item, and import VAT of 25% applies. Many IT products carry 0% duty, but import VAT still applies. Wondering how to import laptops and servers to Denmark? Start with these four checks.
